Blessings Of Unity: A Must Read!

Many movements in today's society have combined to create an atmosphere that at best teaches married couples very little about how to find happiness together, and at worst threatens to destroy the sanctity with which God intends his children to approach that union. Self-centeredness and misinformation have led many away from walking in the Spirit and loving their spouses in Christlike ways, disqualifying them from the blessings that God has in store for his unified children. The Blessings of Unity offers insight and ideas for creating godly unity in our marriages centered around two key concepts:
    1) Abiding in the Vine and walking in the Spirit, and
    2) Learning and applying the concept of unity.
Unity is achieved when a man and woman strive for agreement with God by processing His Will on every decision and in every issue. Through Biblically-centered discussions of discord, division, unity, discipleship, and prayer, and through exploring Biblical examples of unity, Richard Case offers husbands and wives practical and spiritual advice for working together in unity in the Spirit so that they can more perfectly present themselves to God for his divine approval.

My thoughts on the book.
As I began reading the book I found myself shaking my  head and agreeing with the words! I have been in three major relationships. One I was married. 18 years old, my ex husband and I just did not work. He cheated the night before our wedding. I am now years down the road. I spend seven years with my daughters father I tried everything in my power and I think we could have worked if we both would have put a little more work into our relationship. To be honest I am happy it did not because now I am with my man that I love and we share a beautiful baby boy and after reading this book I know just what to work on to make our relationship that much better and more successful. I have my fingers crossed!

  1. I'm not normally a fan of an overly religious take on marriage, however, I am intrigued to read the book based on your personal review. Will def take a look, thank you! X

  3. This sounds like an interesting read. I've been divorced for about 26 years and I didn't want to try that again so I don't even date. Maybe I should read this to see if there's hope or not.

  7. Part of me believes if BOTH of us had worked harder on our marriage, it may have worked. But i am happy alone now and have learned many things. If i marry again, i will be better equipped.

  9. Many people are not learning and teaching the power in agreement, especially agreement in relationships. I am glad someone is writing on the topic as relationships need to an abundance of help in knowing how to sustain it.

  11. I think life is easier if you and your partner share the same beliefs. It makes your foundation more solid.
