NibMor, short for Nibble More, was created by Heather K. Terry and Jennifer Love when they couldn’t find an affordable chocolate option with the health attributes they were looking for. Started in New York City, Heather turned her tiny NYC kitchen into Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory as she learned how to make chocolate and create flavors the whole family would enjoy. Biena: The Protein Snack!

 The founder grew up in a family that’s obsessed with food. Her mom’s an incredible cook, and her dad has always been focused on nutrition. She is also a lifelong vegetarian and always hunting for protein-based foods that will fills her up and keeps her going. She came up with the idea for Biena when she  was grocery shopping. She came across a new snack that was marketed as being healthy. Looking at the back, She was disappointed to see there was very little real nutrition there.In that moment, She thought – there’s got to be something better, and She thought about these chickpea snacks that her mom used to make.

That was the beginning of what led her to create Biena. The rest, as they say, is history!

BumpBar is a family business based in South Lake Tahoe, California. BumpBar began in 2015 with a mission to develop a nutrition bar specifically formulated for pregnant women. Dr. Mandi an OBGYN, and at the time, patients in my obstetrics practice were routinely asking her to recommend a healthy snack to complement their active pregnant lifestyles. Nothing in the nutrition aisle at the grocery store (or in specialty stores, either) was designed with them in mind that delivered the right nutrients and tasted great, so she set to work, outlining what women were looking for in a prenatal snack. Taste, convenience and quality ingredients that meet the nutritional needs of pregnant women and their babies were at the top of my list. It all started in the small bakery of a natural foods market on Main Street in Glastonbury, Connecticut. Their customers with Celiac Disease would visit the bakery and tell them about the lack of good tasting gluten free options available to them. Upon learning this, They believed that nobody should have to suffer due to any kind of food allergy or dietary need. My thoughts on the book.
As I began reading the book I found myself shaking my  head and agreeing with the words! I have been in three major relationships. One I was married. 18 years old, my ex husband and I just did not work. He cheated the night before our wedding. I am now years down the road. I spend seven years with my daughters father I tried everything in my power and I think we could have worked if we both would have put a little more work into our relationship. To be honest I am happy it did not because now I am with my man that I love and we share a beautiful baby boy and after reading this book I know just what to work on to make our relationship that much better and more successful. I have my fingers crossed!
