The other day Desi wanted to take a walk. Here in Welch taking a walk is like mountain climbing, hills everywhere. Now let me remind you Desi is four. Every four year old has short little legs.
Well the walk started out and we got to see a ton of beauty. Mountains, tress, houses etc.. About a hill and a half into the walk Desi was wore out. We still had a little walk ahead of us before getting home! I told her I could not carry here because I am 6(+) months pregnant. She trooped on!
As we are walking I notice this beautiful spot to snag some photos of my little one to share with all of you! Before I do though I just have to mention that walking around "town" here is so much different then it is back in Florida. There is businesses and gas stations everywhere there. Here in Welch we have one gas station and hardly any retail stores. Its just a big change in my life style for sure and I am still making adjustments.
I had Desi climb up on this area so she could stand on the mountain. She gave me some really awesome photos! The first photo she is reaching for the sky! She was a little nervous.
The second one she was more comfortable and said that she was sending praise to God.
Looks like a really fun experience. My son would love to go to the mountains.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a really fun day! My kids would love this.

ReplyDeleteShe did well to explore for so long with those little legs. It looks like you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteHow nice! I just took my 4 & 2 year olds to a state park here in IL and they both were pretty good troopers. However, I did bring the toddler carrier (carries up to 60 pounds) and on the final way out I had my 4 year old on my back and was carrying my 2 year old in my arms and she fell asleep! Hiking is so much fun and there's so much to see!

ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had an awesome time! I live in the mountains in Pennsylvania. This sure looks like my rock wall in my backyard LOL.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I wholeheartedly support that you're promoting the outdoors to your child. I have to say we do not do that nearly enough, and considering how easy it is to simply zone-out in front of the couch or computer, this is a much healthier alternative.
ReplyDeleteI am just loving all those beautiful pictures and reminds me of my trips with my kids last year. Desi looks so much excited with the fun trip and I am sure my kids would love one such place anytime!
ReplyDeleteoh how adorable. Oh, enjoy her and those mountain walks will do wonders for her. Great sleep at bedtime:). Would love to go back to the mountains before the snow falls.
