Hello everyone!
First blog post, I am super excited to be on this great adventure of blogging and learning the ropes of mountain living! This has been a life changer by far!
When it was mentioned to me about moving here to West Virginia a few weeks back I was a little "set" back and uneasy about it. I mean I lived in Florida. I had beaches everywhere, shopping centers and friends. I had made a life there. All of a sudden it was all about to change!
When it did, I was kinda of mad, To be honest. We arrived here and everything was so different, not to mention the heights of the mountains put me in a huge panic. I can't even drive here! The people are very friendly but there is nothing here. Okay I am not playing the closest "Wal-Mart" is like an hour (+) away! Thats my favorite store too! Not even a mall is here. So I figured I need away to vent and express myself, what better way to do that then start a blog and let the world read! Maybe I can get some good advice! I hope so!
Have you ever made a big move that was totally different? How did you cope?
Hello and welcome to online world. Wish you the best !
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I cannot wait to see what kind of adventures you have in store. We love the mountains and would love to hear your perspective :)
ReplyDeleteYou can do this!! It's a new adventure, make the best of it!
ReplyDeleteI have never made a big move before, but my advice to you is to embrace the change and make it awesome! The new experiences in store n you ever thought be even greater than you ever though possible! Also, there is a great blogging community out there and this may help you cope!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great new beginning for you, wishing you luck, I hope you get enough adventures :)
ReplyDeleteOh, change is hard, I did move several time since getting married and I found it very difficult. The secret is to make friends who can understand and support you, like you are doing now through your blog.
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way when I moved to Albuquerque, NM. I was able to walk everywhere before I moved and when I moved here the closest store was 4 miles away. Finally after living here for 20 years they built a grocery store a mile away.
ReplyDeleteWow. What an awesome and courageous thing for you to do. I haven't done such a big move since I was a kid but I might soon! Good for you

ReplyDeleteYup a couple a years ago we moved from MD to NC and I was lucky enough to have my sister just less than half a mile away and life was so much easier with her around. we definitely don't miss the traffic but we sure do miss the food scene in MD-DC-VA
